Valakku Enn 18/9  has inherited various realistic moments to eject a strong message to viewers. The efficacy of the director is commendable. Overall it is a mid tone movie done deliberately to provoke a impact. The endemic scenario is depicted well. A justified story. Usage of SLR cameras advances slowly in feature film making.

Synopsis
Imagine a nobody who became the most wanted heroine of the early 80s. Chronicling the meteoric rise and steep fall of the erstwhile screen sensation - Silk Smitha, 'The Dirty Picture' is set against the colorful and entertaining backdrop of the South film industry of the 80's. This film stars Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi, Tusshar & Naseeruddin Shah and is Directed by Milan Luthria, Produced by Ekta Kapoor & Shobha Kapoor. Music is given by Vishal & Shekhar.

Review
The Dirty Picture is consummate. Special mention to Vidya Balan, her costumier and ultimately Milan who has illustrated the script in a gripping note. Vidya Balan's physique, beauty and exquisite acting has tenured life to the role of 'Silk'. Explicit content makes it limited to 18+ audience. Tempting music score renders vibrance to the visual thus a sense of exuberance is felt. Vidya pay exhibitionism as 'Silk' thus paving viral hit to 'The Dirty Picture'.

The film pervades extenuating and justifies the life of 'Silk'.  The filmmakers have clarified that the story is not officially or literally based on Smitha alone, but on many of her Southern contemporaries such as Nylon Nalini and Disco Shanti. It also resembles the personal lives of other women in popular culture, including Hollywood actress and sex symbol Marilyn Monroe.
Status :  Very good
Rating : 4.2 out of 5 stars
Bottom line : Explicit content. Adults only.

Picture
Directed by Aishwarya Dhanush
Produced by Kasthuri Raja
Starring Dhanush, Shruti Haasan
Music by Anirudh Ravichander

Moonu imbibes and kindles our emotions to great folds. Aishwarya Dhanush well etched it while it's second half portions were classy catering to laurels showered by classy film lovers (specifically). First half is poised in all aspects. Performance and Technicalities are commendable and overwhelming. Dhanush who suffers from Bipolar Disorder (as in Moonu) unveils his excellency in acting to give vibrance to the role. Moonu pierces into the list of films that are celebrated for it's poignant make. Special mention to Shruti Hassan, Shivakarthikeyan and,.. Anirudh whose foot tapping music score rolls the audience into rejoice and threads them into the flow and progress of the story. Evident that there was inexorable restlessness among mass audience towards the dead end of Moonu. A Positive end or a appropriate mould at the climax might have made Moonu to be noted as "ineffable".

Bipolar disorder is a condition in which people go back and forth between periods of a very good or irritable mood and depression. The "mood swings" between mania and depression can be very quick.

Status :  Commendable
Rating : 3.7 out of 5 stars
Bottom line : II half recommended for classy film lovers

The trio overwhelming films Dhoni, Kadhalil Sodhapuvadhu Eppadi & Marina stands commendable on diverse aspects.

Lets have an unbiased outlook about these films..

Dhoni, a causative for the hygienic broach that could kindle the essential for a better tomorrow in the field of education. A bow to Prakashraj's caressing nature upon society! His production films  possess  enticing worth watching scripts. His directorial initiative 'Dhoni' has disclosed his inner conflicts and arguments on fruit nurturing topics of life.
Marina is good in terms of casting, performance, script, humor but lacks a good screenplay towards the climax. The audience begin to expect the expected and that’s a solemn sign of decline in the progress of the film towards the climax. The anticipation on Marina is dwindling.

Kadhalil Sodhapuvadhu Eppadi is a feel good film which professed the facts about love and relation. Balaji's signature style of film making has kindled our emotions and made us to recall our personal experiences.

Illavenil is an earnest attempt by Raajaraam Panth who was efficacious in directing this delightful watching ebullient short film. Kudos to the artists Anand Ram and Vishwatha Ganesh ; their elegance, good screen presence darted the short film up one level. Locations were seeming to be emblematic to the theme. Cinematography and Editing are spicing. Re-recording was commendable. Though cliches are few needles in a haystack, their absence could have rendered even more to the plus. To note, cuts and mix could have been better in title and flash back portions and rest is meagre. Overall, it is an enticing show. The film is said to extol the line "Love loves friendship"

Nanban is a well weaved mesmerizing film for tamil audience without objectionable elements. 'Follow your heart' is what Nanban protrudes into us. The film is a novelty and is not monotonous f0r those who have watched 3 idiots already.. Vijay appears charming and seems to be nonpareil for his role. Jeeva's timing and acting sense is good. Sathyaraj's meddling for unique pronunciation may not be constant. Visuals stand out as natural like in Shankar's previous projects. There is no outplay when compared to 3 idiots. For some, it is a drive up force from obsolescent.  There seems to be no problem from censor in select songs thus gearing the entertainment level for youngsters. Added elaborations despite remaking is commendable. Three of the many catchy things were cameo appearance of Shankar and his assistant Atlee Kumar (A popular short film maker) ; Sub titlist Rekhs kissing Vijay ;  hills and light blue beach at Dhanushkodi ! (as per the story). Sure that audience feel luxuriating and be jubilant in watching this film. Lunatic fringe may be unnecessary.

Cast: Vijay, Ileana, Jeeva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj, Sathyan, S.J. Surya,Anuya Bhagvath, Lawrence Raghavendra…
Direction: Shankar
Production: Gemini Films
Music: Harris Jayaraj

Bottom line : Nanban for 'nanbargal' , Entertaining fleak !

Porali is yet another commendable work by Samuthirakani and his team.

Cast : M Sasikumar, Allari Naresh, Swati Reddy, Vasundhara, Niveda, Namo Narayana, Gnanavel, Jayaprakash, Ganja Karuppu, Soori...
Music Director : Sundar C Babu

Producer : M Sasikumar
Director : Samuthirakani
Banner : Company Production
Label : Vega Music

Picture
Sasikumar seems to be a phlegmatic guy in the first half and pervades the show. His consistent tamil usage is appreciable and exquisite. 'Man is a social animal' , this phrase has been visually carved and it's tones are embedded in each character. Actors Soori and Kancha Karupu render value entertainment. The placing of dance number seems to be perverse. One finds the same kind of placing in 'Nadodigal' also. However the dance steps rolls the mass to rejoice. The lead composition for Porali bolds the tension to more folds. Filming tends us to eulogize. The nitty-gritty portions are portrayed well. Screen writer must have been pensive for bringing out such a perplex screenplay ever in Samuthirakani's projects. Lengthy fight sequences may sentence the audience to restlessness but those portions are not doddering though it may seem. Moreover the reason for conspiracy is unique. Being facetious, Kancha Karupu seems to mock the cops. On the contrary, it acts as a relief portion amidst the tight climax. The perpetual denoting closing scene is stunning and exemplary with the music playback. Porali cannot be a perfunctory and also cannot be exonerated but it's a perceptible work with a call-out for even better screenplay and scripting in the second half besides providing a new-fangled  experience to audience.

Status :  Cheers.. Good work
Rating : 3.7 out of 5 stars
Bottom line : Not fine and congenial. Seems to be evanescent.

Mayakkam Enna is yet another creditable work by Selvaraghavan and his team.

Music Director : GV Prakash Kumar
Director : Selvaraghavan

Dhanush's creepy and poignant act has won critical reviews. Dhanush as Karthik is posed as a curmudgeon. In the second half, debased Dhanush’s transition from eccentric and frustrated attitude stands high with a greater knot of realism. Not that the film is deceptive or slow, the feel does not caters to some audience, may be of the inability to reflect with self.  “Karthik” is neither a defeatist nor a sob but an earnest neutral man with potential and skill. Whether his delusion comes true is not only the story, there’s lot more to grab. “An emotional ride” – This tag suits this enticing show. A flavor of ecstasy is added adequately.  Risha is posed as an effeminate better-half. An endearing relation is picturized brilliantly.  Haunting music composition blends with the movie effectively. Gripping screenplay and editing is commendable. Mayakam Enna is not inconceivable like Ayirathil Oruvan but an indubitable reality of life. This review is not an encomium.

With perplex things disentangled for the reach of mass audience, 7am Arivu scores high in the Box office. Besides living up to the hype, it even causes a caprice in the way people look on to their native land. Cheers to A.R Murugadoss and his crew for their brain stormy ideas. Exuberance is felt in Bodhidharma’s scene(s) because of which a sense of awe is enveloped. Different advertency caters likes. Surya’s efforts are seen. Shruti as a new comer is ok considering her softness. Music score and cinematography are strong pillars. Dialogues are inspirational. The much anticipated song “Oh Ringa Ringa” is good. It is notable that the film crew have made perusal of all* possible references. A must watch film for a Tamilian. It is good that they have knotted the overall issues faced by Tamilians across the globe in dialogues. It is not bad for the reason that certain scenes are embodied with commercial features. It would have been good if Bodhidharma’s part is more. Realism can have been more. Technically 7am Arivu outstands excluding certain clips in the start which seem to be in out focus due to fast panning however it looks good. The pursuit though being predictable in the very start, it is good watching. Some scenes seem to have different perspective hence we mentioned earlier that it is a film exclusive for Tamilians and then for the rest in India. A beacon dips which discloses the lounging of a even good make. To conclude, 7am Arivu is right in providing all features but the lag seem to be in proportion in which they are showd. Tamil audience  must adapt themselves and render confidence to directors like these to come up with their  ideas  without obscurities which includes the commercial features.  A entertainer for people of all age.

Analysis:
Direction: Very Good

Camera works : V. good
Screenplay : Brisk
Locations : Apt
Playback music : Chill
Acting : Appealing

Appreciation :
Engeyum eppothum has evidently appealed tamil audience and seem to be a sleeper hit. It's a different film where a normal man can locate his/her reflection. Thanks to the producer A.R Murugadoss. Everything is well executed specially the bus shots in which jimmy is neatly used. Prominent roles played by Jai and Ananya have reassured their talents again after the sucess of their debut project(s). The appreciable thing is the characterization. Most roles being played by new comers has helped the director to project the audience's attention to the subjects (the two couples). The theme is good. The collision scene has been visualized effectively. Cheers to the technicians. A chill, entertaining film for tamil audience. Cinematography and music score have contributed much to the film.

Verdicts :
1. One can compare the scenes of Final destination with the collision scene in
Engeyum eppothum.

2. The scenes for cooking up to build sympathy and emotion during the collision can have been done even well.

3. The newly maried couple tend to over perform but it is the real way how truly a newly married couple behave*

4. The suspense being broken in the opening dilutes the tension and shock of the audience.

5. The end clip insist about speed driving however the bus collides by destiny that is due to the sheet hiding the driver's view. It can have varied but still the tension persist.
